This section explores Christopher Alexander's timeless way of building from a software development vantage.
In particular, the timeless way of building as it can be applied to open source projects.
The software community has already done a lot with Alexander's idea of a pattern language. However, I am interested not so much in the pattern languages themselves, as I am in the quality without a name that is behind them. I believe open source projects in particular are well positioned to capture this quality, and to incorporate it into the development culture.
Eventually, I hope to present a paragraph by paragraph commentary on Alexander's book, The Timeless Way of Building.
